Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Members of the Cleveland Association had a terrific night out at the Tony Award-winning musical Sweeney Todd, by America's greatest living composer/lyricist (and Phi Beta Kappa!) Stephen Sondheim. The musical is a heart-pounding thriller that tells the tale of an unjustly exiled barber's quest to avenge wrongs done to him. Aided by a resourceful pie shop proprietress, the barber exacts his revenge with brilliant wit, diabolical humor, and extraordinary music. This production was directed by the acclaimed Victoria Bussert.
